Cast Iron Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookie

Gooey, bakery-style skillet cookie — serve warm with ice cream.

Cast Iron Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookie

Golden crispy edges, soft buttery center, pools of melted chocolate. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.

Instructions

    Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 10–12 inch cast iron skillet well.

    Cream butter and both sugars until light and fluffy.

    Add egg, egg yolk and vanilla; mix smooth.

    Whisk flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder; mix into wet just until combined.

    Fold in chocolate chips. Press evenly into the skillet.

    Arrange chopped milk chocolate on top.

    Bake 20–25 min — edges golden, center just set. Don't overbake.

    Rest 10 min before slicing. Serve warm with ice cream.

Toti’s Tips

  • Mini chocolate chips inside melt best.
  • Use regular chips inside (milk chocolate goes on top).
  • Grease the skillet generously before baking.
