White Chocolate Chip Matcha Cookies (Heart-Shaped)

Soft, beginner-friendly matcha cookies with white chocolate chips, shaped into hearts with a cookie cutter. Super cute for gifting.

Instructions

  1. 1

Sift flour, matcha, baking soda and salt; set aside.

  2. 2

Beat soft butter with both sugars until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla.

  3. 3

Gradually add dry to wet; mix just until combined. Fold in white chocolate chips.

  4. 4

Scoop dough, roll into a ball, press inside a heart cookie cutter to fill, lift the cutter off.

  5. 5

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place hearts on a lined sheet.

  6. 6

Bake 10–12 min — edges set, centers still slightly soft.

  7. 7

Cool on sheet 5–10 min before moving so they don't break.

Toti’s Tips

  • Don't overbake — they lose the bright green and turn darker.
  • Better matcha = better color.
  • Check early if one rack runs hotter than the other.
